In autumn Kristīne Opolais will give concerts in Riga, Liepāja and Rēzekne

Kristīne Opolais performed with the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Italian conductor Sesto Quatrini. They included arias and instrumental episodes from well-known and little-known operas by Giuseppe Verdi, Giacomo Puccini, Pietro Mascagni, Camille Saint-Saëns, Francesco Cilea, and Alfredo Catalani. Opolais expressed her pleasure that the solo concerts would have a new programme. She has included pieces from operas that she knows she will sing in an opera production in the future.

“In recent years I have learned to listen to myself. If the voice feels good, then I know I have to perform the role. I know what I want and what roles I have to perform,” the opera singer emphasised.

The Andrejs Žagars Culture Support and Development Foundation was established to promote and develop high quality cultural projects with a particular focus on music and the arts. The foundation aims to attract funding from the State, philanthropists, and European funds. The purpose of the Foundation is to make cultural artefacts emerge, and become viable in the long-term.
